Instructions for use:

  1. Fill each cell with seed and cutting compost
  2. Water well with a fine spray
  3. Place seed(s) or Cutting in each cell and cover with a layer of compost
  4. For faster germination place inserts into the seed tray and cover with the propagator lid
  5. As plants grow allow ventilation by propping open one side of the lid by approximately 1cm
  6. Place in a bright position but not in direct sun light

Never allow compost to dry out, keep moist at all time

  • Place the machine above water level to protect water from flowing backwards, OR it should be fitted with a non-return valve. ( Small air pumps may not be able to handle a check valve )
  • Integrated outlets of multi-outlet pumps should never be closed off / sealed off – if you would like to power one air stone with multiple outlets, use 5mm T-Pieces in your air tubing to combine the airflow from multiple outlets into the air stone.

Designed to work in Coco Peat. The Coco Micro has increased calcium and magnesium and lower potassium to compensate for the fact that coco is organic and not inert. It is important to remember that if you follow the recommended feeding regime, your plants will not suffer from a nutrient deficiency. Often other issues such as damaged or rotting roots, water temperature too high etc. which will manifest as visible nutrient deficiency in the leaves, simply because the roots are unable to supply the plant with the nutrients it needs and not because there are insufficient nutrients in the solution.

The Nutrient Strength suggested in the feeding schedule is a general guide suitable for most plants. For some Heavy feeding plants the recommended ratios can be as much as doubled (to a maximum EC reading around 2.2 – 2.4) with good results. Any increase must be made with caution.

Atami Janeco LightMix is an ideal base substrate in which almost every crop can be grown. The lightly fertilized earth has the advantage that the somewhat ‘more difficult’ plants will not become over-fertilized quickly. In addition to having a light dose of fertilizer, Janeco-Lightmix also contains perlite, making the substrate sufficiently airy and also creating an optimum water management.

Atami BCuzz Bloom Stimulator is applied when the plant starts forming flowers, just before it enters the bloom phase. BCuzz Bloom Stimulator will then kick-start the bloom phase and make it more intense and last longer. A surfactant that increases the wetting and spreading properties of spray solutions and enhances the activity of various pesticides.

The Garland XL High Dome Propagator is an unheated high dome propagator designed by Garland and to our knowledge one of the largest injection molded propagator on the market. The base tray of the Garland XL High Dome Propagator does not feature drainage holes, given that most users opt to fill the unit with smaller trays or pots or multi cell inserts.

The lid of the Garland XL High Dome Propagator is Injection molded in crystal clear shatter resistant material. The lid features 2 adjustable ‘dial’ ventilators to control the humidity and optimize growing conditions

This is a Premium range of propagation, all made from high quality recycled plastics. These items are super strong and durable, with thicker wall sections offering extra rigidity. The trays are easy to clean and can even be put in a dishwasher. Although injection molded trays are generally more expensive than vacuum formed equivalents, they will easily last for 10 years or more.

Propagators are simple to obtain and provide an ideal start for young plants. A propagator holds in humidity and warm air while allowing seedlings to receive light. This an easy way to maintain a good environment for very young seedlings . However, since the cover prevents normal air movement (which is very important as it encourages young plants to grow strong stems),  seedlings should not be kept in a covered propagator for too long.

Once the young plants produce their second or third pair of leaves, or if they grow taller than about 7 cm with only the first pair, the cover of the propagator should be removed. A small oscillating fan on the lowest setting is a good way to give indoor plants the air movement they need, while outdoor plants can start to receive the natural outdoor air movement when they have reached this size.

CO2 Tabs

Co2 Tabs are fizzy tablets with a very slow and gradual release of Carbon Dioxide to assist in optimum growth. They intergrate and complete the normal plants fertilisation providing them with the highest quantity of CO2 they are able to absorb through roots and foliage.

In order to obtain the best results from CO2 Tabs, we recommend to switch off air extractors in the room while the tables are solving.

Attention: adding CO2 during the dark period or shortly before doesn’t give any result because a plant is not able to absorb it.

The application is recommended just after starting of the lamps, always when the extractors are switched off.

Applications:

Absorption by roots: gently crush 1 tablet in 5L of Nutient solution and fertilise as usual.

Absorption by leaves: dissolve 1 tablet for every 2 plants in a cup of water and position as close as possible to your plants. In hydroponic systems, simply disolve the tables directly into the tank, following the same recommendations.

Apply 3 times per week, perferably immendiatly the day time is started.

Overdosing is almost impossible and in any case neither harmful or useful.

The feeding schedule is slightly different and if using anything than soil we recommend using a PH- and EC-meter in order to achieve the desired values and have full control over your feeding solution.

Easy Grower

If you grow on pre-fertilized soil we recommend starting using Powder Feeding 2-4 weeks after planting the seeds and to start with a mild solution (0.25g per Liter).

During the vegetative stage you can increase the feeding up to 0.5g per Liter.
With the beginning of the flowering stage you should slowly increase the amount of Powder Feeding until you reach 1g per Liter.

Following this schedule, there should usually be no problem and growers will achieve a good yield.

Experienced Grower

Experienced growers usually measure their feeding solution to provide the plants with the exact amount of nutrients and the correct pH value of the solution.

Whether you grow in coco, hydroponics or aeroponics – with all of these systems you should measure your pH and EC values.

When using a pH and EC meter you can optimize your growing and achieve much better results.

Steps of mixing nutrient solution:

1. a) Check pH and EC value of the water and make sure the temperature is about 18-22 degrees Celsius. You should also check if your water contains enough Calcium.

1. b) If your EC is 0,0 (using RO or rain water) you need to add Calcium to your water before adding Powder Feeding. Make sure your EC rises up to 0.3-0.4 EC

2. Add Powder Feeding and mix well for 2-3 minutes, and then measure the EC value. If necessary repeat until you reach the desired value.

3. When you reached the desired EC value, wait for 15-30 min.

4. Then measure the PH and if necessary adjust it using PH up or PH down – mix good for 2-3 minutes and wait again 15-30 minutes before measuring.

5. When you reached the desired values, feed your plants.

Generally, manufacturers name and rate the unit based on the amount of water it can remove from air in 24 hours, but based on air with a temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius and with an RH of 80%. These types of conditions may be a reality in really tropical summers in places like China and Hong Kong, but is far from what the conditions inside your average grow area are like. There are even some manufacturers that rate their units’ performance based on 32 degree Celsius air with 95% RH! These ratings are also based on air where the RH remains the same – as a dehumidifier cannot magically continue to remove water from air with little to no water in it.

As a general rule of thumb, halve the rating of any dehumidifier to get an idea of how much water it will remove from a “normal” grow room environment in 24 hours.

Dehumidifiers are best suited for closed-loop growing set-ups, or spaces with little ventilation – no number of dehumidifiers will dry out a space where potentially wet air is constantly being ventilated into the space from outside.
