Inline Filter

The Inline filter is designed specifically for use in low volume, low pressure systems.

It has only one filter screen available.  The cartridge is made of plastic and is designed to trap any particles that would clog up your system. 

The openings in the inline filter cartridge are 1.3mm x 0.5mm which equates approximately to a 20 mesh filter screen in area of opening (0.65mm2).

With the clear barrel it is easy to see if the filter cartridge needs cleaning or is blocked.

If possible try to prevent placing in direct sunlight in order to inhibit fungal growth inside the filter.

The ends conform to the rest of the range of fittings with their unique barb configuration.

Fittings are made of black nylon, which is a tough and durable material. The reason these fittings are made black is to ensure the maximum resistance to UV degradation and to prevent the egress of red light into the pipe which could promote algae development.

These fittings have been tried and tested for over 35 years in the harsh South African sun and are still going strong.

Fittings are designed for use on polyethylene pipe manufactured to SABS-533 specifications (class 3 or class 6). When properly used with this specification of pipe, these fittings will not increase the pipe diameter by more than 10% as recommended by the South African Bureau of Standards. Any additional increase in pipe diameter beyond this can cause stress cracking, especially in pipe not made to specification or of inferior quality. These fittings are manufactured with a unique (and registered) barb configuration which is designed to take maximum advantage of the memory of polyethylene pipe, making it possible for the pipe to return to it’s original size between barbs and thus maximising the effectivity of the barbs and improving the strength of the join.

Liquid pH Up

Liquid pH Up consists of Potassium Hydroxide and is used to increase pH. Adjust the pH levels to improve the growing conditions for your plants. Hydroponic plants thrive best in solution with pH range from 5.5 to 6.5.

Instructions: should be added in small amounts to water until the pH is increased to the required level.

Use in conjunction with a pH meter or good quality pH test kit.

Potassium hydroxide is a strong alkali, or base, and many of its uses are a result of this property. As a base, potassium hydroxide acts as a pH regulator in industrial manufacturing and processing. In the agricultural industry, potassium hydroxide is used to regulate the pH of acidic soils.

Liquid pH Up has an extremely low level of phytotoxicity and does not contain salts or chlorides.

With plants, nutrient availability can be affected by soil or solution pH. pH levels outside recommended ranges can lead to nutrient lockout and nutrient deficiencies resulting in stunted growth and poor appearance. Tips

  • Be consistent in making sure pH stays in the range

  • You don’t need to be exact, just keep an eye on things and react if you notice the pH is getting too high or too low

  • Add all of your nutrients to your water first before checking and adjusting the pH. Your nutrients will affect the pH of your water so it’s important they get added before making any adjustments.

Biogrow Pyrol – Fast acting, organic broad spectrum contact insecticide to kill all stages of insects.

Detrimental to beneficial insects; best used only to reduce infestations of pests and regain control.

Biogrow Pyrol provides broad-spectrum control. It can be used as a dormant and growing season insect spray and kills all stages of insects, including eggs, on contact. It is a proprietary formulation consisting only of naturally occurring plant oils as active ingredients. It is truly an insecticide from plants for plants. It does not contain piperonyl butoxide as a synergist, and the active ingredients do not persist in the environment.

This product will give broad-spectrum control of most insect pests such as : aphids, beetles (e.g., Colorado potato beetle. Flea beetle, Japanese beetle, asparagus beetle), caterpillars (e.g., gypsy moth caterpillars, tent caterpillar, diamondback moth larvae, leaf rollers), ants, mealy bugs, mites, leafhoppers, scale, whitefly, adelgids, plant bugs, fungus gnats, thrips, sawfly larvae, psyllids, spittlebugs, and phylloxera.

Active Ingredients: Pyrethrum 0.5percent and Canola Oil 89.5percent

Insect Control

Biogrows aim is to control insect populations to a level where minimal damage is caused to the crop and the beneficial insects have a supply of food. The closer we get to creating this balance, the healthier our environment will be.

During dormancy (winter) plants can be sprayed with  Pyrol for the control of scale insects and the overwintering mealy bug.

During the growing season alternate at 10-14 day intervals between sprays of Bioneem and Pyrol. Under high insect infestation and increased plant damage spray Pyrol at shorter intervals, every 7 days, in order to surpress the population of insects to a minimal level. Then continue with maintenance programme.

Make a fresh batch each time you spray.

Directions for Use

Dosage:

  • 20ml / 1 L of water (Home & Garden)
  • 1 L – 2 L per 100 L / water, use the lower rate against soft bodied insects. (Bulk Use)

Directions: Ensure thorough wetting on top and underside of leaves. Spray in coolest part of the day. Under high insect infestation apply every 7 days. Under periods of low infestation apply every 14 days. Repeat as necessary.
