Garden HighPro LumaxPro HPS Lamps feature an optimized spectrum for photosynthesis. For use with magnetic and digital/electronic ballastsand any type of reflector or cooling hood with an E40 lamp holder.
Proper lighting is a key ingredient in promoting robust, healthy growth as well as meeting the needs of various plant growth phases through optimized spectral outputs. Specifically tailored for the hydroponic and horticultural industries.
HPS bulbs are the most efficient bulbs that are commonly used by the hobby gardener. They are high in the red and yellow parts of the spectrum and low in the blue, this imitates the fall sun. Because of this spectrum some plants that are grown with HPS lights only can grow elongated and rather leggy, while many other plants are not effected by the light spectrum. For plants that normally bud and flower in the fall this is usually the light of choice because the light spectrum promotes flower production.
HPS bulbs are made out of a translucent ceramic arc tube containing a mixture of sodium, mercury and xenon gas. This arc tube is suspended in a outer glass shield (bulb). HPS bulbs range in power from 35w to 1000w, with the 250w, 400w, 600w and 1000w being the most popular for indoor horticulture.
HPS bulbs should be changed out after about 24 months. The bulbs slowly lose their brightness over time and to maintain good light quality the bulbs must be changed before the end of their rated life.
Garden HighPro LumaxPro HPS Lamps offer a great light spectrum at an affordable price!
The Garden HighPro MediPro Plant Guardian is here to save your plant tops from the intense heat emitted by hot HPSlamps!
The Medipro marks off the required distance between your plants and lamp, with each stick in the modular system measuring 10cm (with 5 sticks in the set). Fit the heat resistant clip over the E40 light fitting of your reflector, with the right number of measuring sticks screwed onto it. Now you will reduce the risk of having your light fixture too close to your plants. A mini thermo hygrometer is also included and can be attached at the other end of the Garden HighPro MediPro to indicate temperature and humidity in the area of the leaf-tops.
Garden HighPro ProCufs fit all types of grow tent poles or other overhead beams up to 5cm diameter.
The thick rubbery plastic cuffs with their galvanizediron clips have a hanging capacity up to 84kg/pair!
This is ideal when you need to secure larger grow lights or reflectors, heavy carbon filters, or other heavy equipment from an overhead support.
Sold per pair.

Set the dimmer know to 100% power for your chosen lamp first. Once the unit has warmed up (after 10 – 15 mins) you can adjust power.
It is highly recommended to use a Surge Protector (which you can get at any Hardware store) or a Contact Relay.
Clamps are a simple solution for connecting ducting to Inline Fans, Carbon Filter, Ducting Splitters or Air Cooled Reflectors. Fitted with a worm screw, tighten with a screw driver in a few seconds. Clamps provide a secure connection, ensuring your extraction system remains securely connected.
The Clamps are made from strong, Stainless Steel They are super easy to install and will last you for many grows to come. To install a clamp, you simple screw it open wide enough to fit over the end of your ducting, slip your ducting over the Fan/Reflector/Carbon Filter’s flange and screw it closed to ensure your ducting is fastened on tightly.
Available in a few different sizes to suit all ducting sizes. They are an efficient, cost effective method of joining ventilation equipment.
Clamp Sizes:
14-32mm (for larger water pumps) 95-121mm
133-159mm 197-222mm
241-267mm
286-311mm
PLEASE NOTE: 14-32mm Clamps are Stainless Steel, for use under water.
Clamps are an adjustable steel band that the user tightens with a screw. Most people generally know this kind of fitting as a Jubilee Clip which is often in the plumbers tool box. The premise is the same just on a bigger scale to suit ducting, not water pipes. The worm gear that adjusts the tightness allows a secure connection between ducting and fan or filter.
Many growers use ducting clamps in combination with Aluminium tape. This makes an even stronger join with advantages of both. The tape has a bigger surface area for joining and can go round and round as many times as you want. It can degrade after a while though so the Ducting Clamp will increase holding power of the join.
An E40 Lamp Holder device which mechanically supports a lamp for the purposes of making electrical contact with the lamp.
E40 is the standard fitting for all our HPS, MH and CFL bulbs
DIY – Build your own light system
E40 Lamp Holder fitting is commonly used for horticultural lamps. Useful for growers who are creating their own lighting fixtures or those who have no need for a reflector. The holder is suitable for use with all CFLs, MH and HPS lamps.
Please note: Our E40 socket CFL lights (85 Watt and 140 Watt) emit a colour temperature of 6400K ( “Cool Blue” ), ideal for vegetative growth. Our 2700K (“Warm White”) CFL lights (200 Watt), also E40 light fitting.
We suggest starting off with 140 Watt Cool Blue E40 CFL’s if you are planning to switch colour temperatures during the later stages of your grow cycle.
Venture Metal Halide (MH) lamps are designed for plants during their growing cycle, i.e. for non-fruiting or non-blooming plants: they are great for reproducing the spring to summer light spectrum. Metal Halide lighting is therefore the best HID choice for the plant’s vegetation growing phase.
The output of Metal Halide lamps is closer to natural sunlight than most other light sources.
Venture Metal Halide Lamps are a high output horticultural grow lamps specifically designed for the Vegetative/Growth phase of a plants cycle.
Each Venture MH Lamp is fitted with an E40 screw fitting for connection to most brands of HID reflectors and cables. These lamps can only be struck with a HID lighting ballast of the same wattage.
Metal Halide Lamps are for use during the Growth phase of plants (light cycle 18/6).
Venture Metal Halide Grow lamps can be used with analogue or digital ballast.
Each Metal Halide Lamp from Venture produces a light that is 4000 Kelvin – Blue Spectrum.
Venture 250w MH Lamp – Lumen Output: 22,000
Venture 400w MH Lamp – Lumen Output: 36,000
Venture 600w MH Lamp – Lumen Output: 50,000
Venture1000w MH Lamp – Lumen Output: 90,000
Remember: When handling grow lamps to ensure you don’t leave fingerprints on the glass as this will impair the performance of the lamp. It is best to use a cloth when handling grow lamps.
Ballast is required to fire lamp
METAL HALIDE – (MH)
Metal halide bulbs are very efficient and produce between 65 and 115 lumens of light output per watt of electricity used. MH bulbs produce a light that is very close to full summer sun, with a spectrum rich in the blue end. This promotes fast vegetative growth and compact, stocky plants with short internodal leaf spacing.
Metal Halide bulbs create light by passing electricity through an clear inner arc tube that is enclosed in the vacuum of an outer clear glass tube. This inner arc tube contains mercury and other metals in iodide form. When electricity is applied to these metal iodides they give off very intense light and heat. The outer casing can be either clear or phosphorus coated. Most gardeners prefer the clear bulb as it produces the brightest white light available.
MH bulbs come in sizes from 70 to 1500 watts with the 250 w, 400 w , 600 w and the 1000 w being the most popular sizes for gardening. All the bulbs need to run with a ballast (basically a transformer to step up the voltage to the proper amount), that are designed to run a specific size bulb.
Medal Halide bulbs (except the 1000 w Super Bulb) should be replaced about every 9500-10000 hours or aprox.18 months (assuming an 18 hour / day on cycle).
