What to get with your lamp…
You will of course need a ballast, which will “fire up” the lamp on startup, and keep it running smoothly while it’s on. Reflectors are the preferred method for hanging up the lamps in your grow area (using ratchet hangers) – these bounce ALL the light emitted from your lamp down onto your plants. Timers also come in very handy, especially digital timers – they don’t lose time during power outages.

Tips from Bionova growers
✔ Use 1 to 2 ml PK 13-14 in 10 liters of water in the second week of the growing stage to promote a faster roots development.
✔ When deficiencies phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) occur, the plant. Mainly these conditions of immobilization and deprivation of elements for the cultivation are due to poor substrates and abnormal pH values of the nutrient solution. To cure deficient plants you can apply a solution of PK 13-14 with dilution rate of 2.5-5 ml in 10 liters of water by irrigation or foliar spray.

How to Use the Pro-Leaf CO2 Controller PPM-B1
Press the PPM knob (on the left) and select your PPM setpoint.
Press the ‘Deadband’ knob (on the right) and select your deadband level. This set by how much the PPM will deviate from the setpoint before the unit turns back on. The smaller the deadband, the quicker the unit will respond.
Choose a ‘control mode’ setting using the switch on the bottom right-hand side. ‘PPM Up’ is used when you are increasing CO2 levels with a gas powered generator. ‘Fuzzy Logic’ should be selected if you want to use a CO2 bottle and regulator. ‘PPM Down’ is used when regulating fans, so that they kick in when CO2 levels get too high. This option will rarely be used in most grow rooms, because the priority will be increasing CO2 levels.
There’s a ‘Max / Min’ feature that will tell you what the maximum and minimum PPM levels while you were away. All you need to do is click both buttons simultaneously.
Always keep the controller at least 2.5 meters away from any digital ballasts.
The Pro-Leaf cannot be used alongside a sulfur vaporizer. If you do wish to use a sulfur vaporizer, ensure that you remove the sensor from the affected area first.
The unit also has a calibration mode to calibrate against fresh outside air if needed.

Bloombastic is a high-quality cocktail made of mineral and organic additives with a vegetable origin that is suitable for the last flowering and ripening phase (4-6 weeks) of the plant. AtamiBloombastic Flowering Nutrient increases the sugar content of your crop and therefore the weight and the smell. By means of an explosion of sugar and flower production Bloombastic provides thick, dense, sweet-smelling flowers.
Compared with other liquid flowering products, Bloombastic contains over 50% more bio-minerals (phosphorus and potassium) for which absolutely no ballast substances have been used (sodium and chlorine). Bloombastic also has an enzymatic influence in several areas, and therefore has a stress-preventing and recovering influence on the plant.
The combination of these features allows Bloombastic to replace various other products. Proper lighting is a key ingredient in promoting robust, healthy growth as well as meeting the needs of various plant growth phases through optimized spectral outputs. Specifically tailored for the hydroponic and horticultural industries.
HPS bulbs are the most efficient bulbs that are commonly used by the hobby gardener. They are high in the red and yellow parts of the spectrum and low in the blue, this imitates the fall sun. Because of this spectrum some plants that are grown with HPS lights only can grow elongated and rather leggy, while many other plants are not effected by the light spectrum. For plants that normally bud and flower in the fall this is usually the light of choice because the light spectrum promotes flower production.
HPS bulbs are made out of a translucent ceramic arc tube containing a mixture of sodium, mercury and xenon gas. This arc tube is suspended in a outer glass shield (bulb). HPS bulbs range in power from 35w to 1000w, with the 250w, 400w, 600w and 1000w being the most popular for indoor horticulture.
HPS bulbs should be changed out after about 24 months. The bulbs slowly lose their brightness over time and to maintain good light quality the bulbs must be changed before the end of their rated life.

A Surge Protector will protect your valuable electrical equipment from surges in electrical supply. When a sudden increase in voltage occurs, such as from a lightning strike or damage to a power line, the surge protector detects the excess current and safely diverts it through the house’s grounding path.
These “point of use” or “plug-in” Surge Protectors will only work if plugged into grounded electrical outlets in locations where electrical wiring has proper grounding installed. Have your location inspected by a certified electrician if you are not certain about your wiring – this small expense is well worth the cost when compared to the possibility of destroyed electronics and other equipment or damages caused by an electrical fire.
These surge protectors are not only able to protect your growing equipment but also other household items, such as persnal computers, fridges and freezers, televisions, Hi-Fi’s, gaming consoles, etc. It is also worth mentioning that these units will not protect against “brown-outs”, where the electrical supply drops to levels lower than normal. If protection against current drops is also a requirement, then a UPS unit will be a better option.
