Spiral LED Lamps 36W

Spiral LED Lamps 36W

Spiral LED Lamps 36W – Energy saving replacements for traditional Fluorescent CFLs, available with E40 or E27 screw-in fittings. These lamps have a 6000K color temperature and are popular for seedlings and cuttings, an excellent way to establish young plants. They are good for shelf gardening because their low heat allows you to place lights on shelves that are stacked on top of each other. Smaller plants and seedlings can thrive in a well-designed indoor garden lit with LED grow lights.

6000k is great for germinating, seedlings, cuttings and the vegetative life stage.

When plants are young, high output lighting can be too intense, causing them stress and negatively affecting growth. Instead, cuttings and seedlings can be placed under smaller LED lights until they are ready to move on into the veg or even the bloom rooms.

During propagation or cloning, lights should be kept on for 18 hours a day, although many growers find that quicker growth is achieved by keeping them on constantly, without a night period at all.

Because of these lamps’ low running temperature they are ideal for growing in small spaces and their low power usage keeps costs low for the small scale grower. They are an excellent option during the vegetative stage because they can be placed much closer to the plant’s foliage, which tends to encourage the plant to remain short and stocky – favorable characteristics to look for when growing indoors.

E27 is a standard household fitting, e.g. a desk/study screw-in lamp.

E40 is larger than your standard house fitting.

E40 lamps fit reflectors that are normally used for HPS lighting. ( These reflectors come with male kettle plug cords, not 3-pin plug cords, but they can be converted for use with a LED spiral lamp with a suitable female kettle plug to 3-pin plug cord, or by snipping the kettle plug and replacing with a 3-pin plug )

If you use a reflector – your light output is maximized by bouncing most of the emitted light down onto your plants.

T8 Fixture Connector Advice

Low cost, slim-line and ultra light, these can easily be installed over propagators or inside a propagation tent. They can also be hung vertically to be used as supplemental lighting for dark tent corners and in between plantings.

Each Double T8 LED Fitting is 615mm long and fits 2 x T8 LED tubes. PLEASE NOTE: These fittings are not the same as older fluorescent fittings (which have ballasts and starters) and should not be used for fluorescent tubes!

Each Clear T8 LED Tube is 600mm long, has a 9 Watt power draw, 6500K colour temperature, and Lumen output of 810 Lumens. PLEASE NOTE: These tubes are not the same as older fluorescent tubes and should not be used in fluorescent fittings!

For best results 4 to 6 T8 tubes are recommended above a single large sized propagator, like the Garland XL High Dome Propagator.

The LED tubes produce hardly any heat and can be hung as close to the cuttings or seedlings as possible to maximize the light intensity.

Method Seven CULTIVATOR FX2

Method Seven CULTIVATOR FX2

Method Seven CULTIVATOR FX2

FX2 Lens Technology:

The FX2 lens is the result of years of dedicated research, developed in collaboration with the world’s leading LED light manufacturers and engineers. It’s the biggest innovation in growing since LED lights.

The lens provides precise filtering of the LED spectrum, reducing spikes in the 660nm to 700nm and 385nm to 440nm ranges. It offers complete UV protection, blocking increased UV from newer LED fixtures with chips below 400nm. The FX2 lens eliminates the spots and floaters that many people experience when working under LED lights, ensuring clear vision. Brightness is perfectly reduced, allowing you to see above or below your canopy without ever removing your glasses, regardless of LED settings. Additionally, the lens features multiple advanced coatings, including resin repel, anti-reflection, anti-fog, and petrol mirror, for maximum performance and comfort.

An industrial grade anti-fog and anti-stick coating that is applied to both sides of the lens. Not only does it protect the other coatings underneath it also makes wiping sticky resin off the lenses a breeze. The coating was initially developed for The Navy Seals. We tweaked it to resist resin, which, understandably, isn’t something the Navy was concerned about. LOL. True story.

Frame Technology:

Meet the Cultivator—a wrap frame that fits almost everyone. Safety-rated and super lightweight, it features no-slip nose and temple pads for ultimate comfort. The frame may not be fancy, but it houses the same high-performance FX2 lens found in Method Seven’s high-end Italian frames. It’s like a KIA with a Porsche engine!

Method Seven has invested in where it counts—your eyes—while keeping the frame affordable. The result is an unbeatable value for both large commercial grows and single-light setups.

The Method Seven CULTIVATOR FX2 – Perfect for growers seeking a reliable, cost-effective solution without compromising on quality.

Sobo Mist Maker

Sobo Mist Maker

The Sobo Mist Maker uses ultrasonic atomizing technology to create an ultra fine mist or fog without actual evaporation taking place. This makes it a great tool to use inside an aeroponic type cloner or to increase humidity in an enclosed space. The Mist Maker can also be used for foliar feeding as the leaves are able to absorb the minute water particles very easily.

Bigger mist-makers are also available…MistMaker 3 Ultrasonic Humidifier

Solutions with very high or very low pH values should be avoided, as this most cause corrosion. The atomizing film should be kept clean and often be washed to maintain maximum fogging capacity. Mineral salt buildups can be dissolved using rinsing agents like FlashClean.

The spray head should be installed flat (horizontally), with the water level  5 – 10 mm higher than the top of the unit. If the Sobo Mist Maker is submerged lower than this, misting capacity will be reduced. When the top of the mist maker is above the water level, the atomizer will automatically go into protection mode and stop operation. The Mist Maker should be installed in a container that is large enough to catch the water splashes caused by the ultrasonic diaphragm.

Ideally, the Mist Maker should not be run constantly 24/7, but rather be used for intervals at a time. The diaphragm can be unscrewed and replaced if it has reached the end of its lifespan.

Also has LED lights !!! 🤣

Phonescope

The Phonescope uses your smartphone’s camera to allow you to see the little things around you – like Russet Mites and trichomes.

Attach this phone scope directly to your mobile or tablet, aligning the microscope lens with your device’s camera lens. PLEASE NOTE: The middle of your lens must be 23 mm or less from the edge of the device for the Phonescope’s macro lens to fit right over the middle of your device lens.

The LED light build into the Phonescope will light up automatically when clamped onto a smartphone or tablet. This will shed light on anything brought up to the Phonescope lens.

TIP: The Phonescope is best used if your sample is placed on a flat surface ( like a table ), where you can lay the smartphone down on the sample and the flat surface. This will stabilize the phone and get rid of a shaky display on your screen.

Once you’ve set up your sample and phone, use your camera’s digital zoom feature to reveal your sample at up to 30 x magnification. (*Results will vary between different devices and applications used). Ever so slightly raise and lower your phone’s height above the sample to focus on different depths of your sample.

TIP: You can download “Magnifier” apps for all smartphones and use these with your Phonescope instead of your default camera app to get even better results !

Hydrogen Peroxide 50% – 25L

Hydrogen Peroxide 50% - 25L

Hydrogen Peroxide 50% – 25L: Water with an extra oxygen atom in it which, when broken down into the solution, helps to add extra oxygen to your Hydroponic nutrient solution. This extra oxygen is then applied to the Hydroponic plant’s roots making healthier and more robust plants with lots of healthy new root growth.

Hydrogen peroxide is also very helpful in sterilizing your growing medium and the surrounding growing area at the same time. It helps to prevent bacteria and harmful pathogens like fusarium, pythium and some other unwanted diseases from growing in your Hydroponic system.

Strength: 50%

To get to a 3% solution, use DISTILLED WATER and dilute 6 mls 50% H2O2 into 94 mls of distilled water.

Dilution of 3% H2o2 into a hydroponic system with plants in it: Up to 3 mls of 3% H2O2 per liter of nutrient solution. It is advised to start with lower doses and gradually increase to 3 mls of 3% H2O2 per liter.

CORROSIVE!!! – HANDLE WITH CARE, STORE RESPONSIBLY, DO NOT INGEST

Using Hydrogen Peroxide for root rot and over-watering

Over-watering:

Roots require Oxygen to breathe and low Oxygen levels are the main cause of almost all root diseases. Hydroponic crops often fail due to “root rot” and soil crops succumb to over watering.Soil consists of particles, a film of water on the particles and air spaces between the particles, when too much water is put into the soil the air spaces fill with liquid. The roots will quickly use up what Oxygen is dissolved in the water; if they haven’t drunk enough of the liquid to allow air back in to the soil spaces they will stop working. In this situation roots will start dying within twenty-four hours. As the roots die the plants ability to drink water and nutrients will decrease, this will cause symptoms of nutrient deficiencies (mostly pale, slow, weak growth), and strangely they will start to wilt like they don’t have enough water. In a Hydroponic system the cause is a more direct simple lack of oxygen in the solution; this may be from inadequate circulation and/or aeration. High reservoir temperatures also interfere with Oxygen’s ability to dissolve in the water. The same symptoms will appear as with soil plants but you can also check the roots. Healthy roots should be mostly white with maybe a slight yellowish tan tinge. If they are a brownish colour with dead tips or they easily pull away there are at least the beginnings of a serious problem. Organic dirt like rotting smell means there is already a very good chance it is too late. As roots die and rot they eat Oxygen out of the water, as Oxygen levels are even further depleted more roots die, a viscous circle may be well under way. Reduced Oxygen levels and high temperatures both encourage anaerobic bacteria and fungi. The plants may still be saved but you will have to work fast.

How Hydrogen Peroxide prevents root rot and or over-watering.
When plants are watered with Hydrogen Peroxide it will break down and release Oxygen into the area around the roots. This helps stop the Oxygen from being depleted in the water filled air spaces until air can get back into them. High Oxygen levels at the roots will encourage rapid healthy root growth. In a Hydroponic system Hydrogen Peroxide will disperse throughout the system and raise Oxygen levels as it breaks down. Strong white healthy roots with lots of fuzzy new growth will be visible. This fuzzy growth has massive surface area allowing for rapid absorption of the huge amounts of water and nutrients needed for rapid top growth. A healthy plant starts with a healthy root system.

What to do if you already have root rot, in hydro:

Change your nutrients. Add Hydrogen Peroxide to the system. This will add oxygen and chemically eat dead roots. If roots are badly rotted pull them off by hand. Add a fungicide to kill any fungus that is probably present in the rotted tissue to prevent it from spreading. If plants are wilting, Increase aeration of the water, get an air pump and air stones. An air stone under every plant is usually very effective, but will require a larger air pump. Decrease the reservoir temperature, oxygen dissolves better in cold water and disease causing organisms reproduce slower as well. It is also a good idea to remove any wilting plants from the system and put them on a separate reservoir so they don’t infect plants that are still healthy.

Warning:
