We are growing!

We are proud to announce that hydroponic.co.za has merged with Hortishop, for whom we’ve been a re-seller for the last 3 years. We will now be handling online orders for Hortishop.

Hortishop has recently been through a restructuring process and due to the success of hydroponic.co.za they have incorporated us as their e-commerce provider.

What does this mean for our customers?

The only change is that our Banking details will be changing to:

Windell Hydroponics t/a Hydroponic.co.za
BANK: FNB
CHEQUE ACCOUNT NO: 62074133655
BRANCH CODE: 210655 (Willowbridge)

We also now have credit/debit card facilities at the Durbanville shop πŸ™‚

Otherwise, it’s business as usual. Megan will still be running the online and Durbanville branch.
(please note the trading hours for Durbanville branch).

Tues: 9am – 5pm
Thur: 9am – 5pm

Postal Strike Update

While the strike is over, SAPO still has a huge backlog of parcels that need to be processed and they expect to have that completed by January.

Once we have confirmation that they are operating at normal capacity we will turn on the Post Office and Speed Courier shipping methods.

Debit card and Bitcoin now accepted

We are happy to announce that we now accept both Debit Cards and Bitcoin payments via Payfast. It is even easier now to purchase you hydroponic supplies online.

Bitcoin is a software-based payment system described by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, and introduced as open-source software in 2009. Payments are recorded in a public ledger using its own unit of account, which is also called bitcoin. Payments work peer-to-peer without a central repository or single administrator, which has led the US Treasury to call bitcoin a decentralized virtual currency. Although its status as a currency is disputed, media reports often refer to bitcoin as a cryptocurrency or digital currency.
