Description
Wonder Dolomitic AG Lime – 3kg
For raising the pH of acid soils and preventing calcium and magnesium deficiency. Also used as substrate buffer to ward off gradual acidification over time.
Direction for use:
- Use only as directed
- Determine the pH of the soil. The most suitable soil pH (water) for most plants is between 5,5 and 6,5 – a pH above 7,5 is not suitable for plants.
- Decide in advance whether acid loving plants will be planted or not
- Established lawns should be treated every 4 years
- Dosage rate: 200-250 g/m²
- Sprinkle the product evenly on the soil surface and then work it in. With lawns the product will leach into the soil with irrigation or rain.
- A very good practice on lawns is to remove all old upper growth in winter every 4 years and then fertilize with agricultural lime and other fertilizers
Wonder Dolomitic AG Lime Composition:
- Calcium 160 g/kg
- Magnesium 120 g/kg
- KKE/CCE (acid) 88 %
- (resin) 78 %
KKE/CCE (acid) in Ag Lime refers to the Calcium Carbonate Equivalent (CCE) of an agricultural limestone product, which is a measure of its effectiveness in neutralizing soil acidity.
Here’s a breakdown:
-
KKE: Kilogram of Calcium Carbonate Equivalent
-
CCE: Calcium Carbonate Equivalent
-
Ag Lime: Agricultural Limestone, a soil amendment used to raise soil pH and provide calcium and magnesium nutrients.
In essence, KKE/CCE represents the acid-neutralizing capacity of the limestone product, with higher values indicating greater effectiveness. This measure helps farmers and soil managers determine the appropriate application rates to achieve optimal soil pH levels.
Precautions:
- Store under roof
- Do not exceed recommended rate
- Water thoroughly after each application
- Do not apply directly to leaves and roots
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
