Hortimix Nutrient Preparation & Usage Guide

Mix 525 g Part A with 5 L of fresh water and shake until fully dissolved. Do the same with 350 g Part B in a second 5 L container. Label both.

Monopotassium phosphate (MKP / KH₂PO₄): mix 125 g in 5 L of water and store in a cool, dark place.

Follow the feeding schedule below or the instructions on page 2. All E.C. values are based on 1 L of pH-balanced water with a base E.C. below 0.1.

Nutrient Mixing Guideline:
During vegetative growth use equal amounts of Part A & Part B. From week 2 of flowering, replace 20% of Part A with MKP. For large plants, this may gradually increase to 40%.

Always adjust pH after adding nutrients. Ideal range: pH 5.5 – 6.5. Avoid adding pH Up and pH Down multiple times in the same solution.

Using an E.C. Meter

An E.C. meter measures conductivity and helps you dial in accurate nutrient strength per growth stage.

Lettuce: max E.C. ≈ 1.2
Tomatoes: E.C. 2 – 5

If growing crops with different E.C. needs (e.g., lettuce & tomatoes), harvest low-E.C. crops before increasing nutrient levels.

Important: Never mix nutrient concentrates together. Always add Part A to water, stir, then add Part B, stir, then MKP if used.
