Powerplant Aerowing Cooling Hood Reflector:
Control temperature and maximize the power of your grow lighting with the PowerPlant AeroWing Reflector. It is an enclosed, air-cooled reflector designed to fit easily into a ventilation system. This allows the connected extraction fan to suck the heat generated by the lamp ( HPS / MH ) right out of your grow area. This helps to reduce the heat in your grow space by up to 5 degrees Celsius.
Key Features:
- 150 mm flanges to attach ducting to.
- 4 m long electrical cord with male kettle plug socket, suitable for a HID lamp of up to 600W (E40 fitting)
- Easily hang the hood from an overhead support by clipping the hanging brackets onto a set of rope ratchets (Rope ratchets sold separately)
- Glass panel is quickly opened and shut with a pair of clips, instead of tedious hand screws.

Use cases:
There are a couple of ways to install and use cool tubes or cooling hoods in an indoor grow space…
We recommend that no more than 4 hoods are serviced by a single extraction fan. If 4 hoods are connected to a single fan, the fan should ideally be of a larger diameter (or, have a higher extraction rate) than a 150 mm fan. The 4 hoods should also not be connected in a row, but rather split into 2 rows of 2, to allow for faster heat removal.
The hoods can be installed to be open ended on one side – this will cause the connected fan to exhaust air from your grow space while in operation, not ideal for growers who are supplementing CO2. If you aim to run a “closed loop” system in your grow room, the hoods’ inlets and outlets should be outside of your grow room’s “block” of air. Here, you will have 2 air handling systems – one to treat the grow room air, and another to handle air flow through the cooling hoods.
